Data Collection

Firefly collects data necessary to provide its services. This includes Discord user IDs, server IDs, message metadata (not content), command usage, and configuration settings you provide. We do not read or store the content of your messages unless you explicitly interact with a feature that requires it, such as AI chat or starboard.

How Data is Used

Your data is used solely to operate and improve Firefly. This includes maintaining leveling data, economy balances, moderation logs, music preferences, and server configurations. We use aggregated, anonymized usage statistics to improve the bot and diagnose issues. We never sell your data to third parties.

Data Storage

All data is stored on secure servers with encryption at rest and in transit. We retain data for as long as Firefly is active in your server. When the bot is removed from a server, configuration data is retained for 30 days in case of re-addition, then permanently deleted. You can request immediate deletion at any time.

Third Parties

Firefly integrates with third-party services including Discord (for bot functionality), Stripe (for payment processing), and select AI providers (for AI features). These services have their own privacy policies. We share only the minimum data required for each integration to function. We do not share data with advertisers or data brokers.

Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. You can request a copy of all data Firefly stores about you or your server by contacting us on Discord. Server administrators can delete server data by removing the bot. Individual users can request deletion of their personal data regardless of server membership.

Updates to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of Firefly after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. For significant changes, we will notify users through our Discord server.
